Wendi Nix is an American anchor and sports reporter for ESPN. She was born in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She graduated from Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1992.

She has also received degrees from Union County College in Cranford, New Jersey, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.In Wofford College, she was president of the student body and captain of the golf team. She is also a proud fan and supporter of the Terriers.

She primarily handles coverage for NFL and college football games featuring teams from the New England area. She reported for Fox Sports Net, NESN and WPDE in South Carolina. She later worked as a weekend sports anchor at WHDH in Boston from 2003 to 2006. She then joined ESPN.

She is the host of ESPN’s NFL Live. She became the primary host of the company’s year-round weekday pro football studio show in February 2018. Her work also entails anchoring coverage from major NFL events throughout the year. This may include the Scouting Combine, NFL Draft and Super Bowl.
In addition to hosting NFL Live, she was a co-host on Sunday NFL Countdown with Chris Berman for three seasons from 2014 to 2016. She also hosted weekly Chalk Talk events in Monday Night Football cities which was timed to ESPN’s prime time MNF games in 2009.

In August 2006, she joined ESPN as a reporter and host covering college football, the NFL and golf. Beyond NFL, she has hosted College Football Live and college football Saturdays on ESPN2.
