Warrick Dunn is a former American football running back player who played in the National Football League (NFL) for twelve seasons. In 1997, NFL Draft he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Before he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers he had played college football at Florida State.

Warrick Dunn College career
He attended Florida State University where he played for three straight seasons and rushed for over 1,000 yards. He got a three-time All-ACC selection. In 1993, he won a national championship title with Florida State. In 1997, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Information Studies.
In the 1997 NFL Draft, he was selected by Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 12th overall pick. He had a successful rookie season that saw him get selected to the NFC Pro Bowl team and was named the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year. In 2000, he was again named to the pro bowl. In his 13th game of that season, he had a career-best 210 yards rushing against the Dallas Cowboys.
In 2002 offseason he was a free agent and signed with the Atlanta Falcons. In that year he led the league with a 5.4 yards per carry average and he made a positive impact on his team with a total of 9 touchdowns. In 2004 season he scored the most rushing touchdowns in his career, 9 and led the team in rushing with 1,106 yards. In 2005, he was selected for the third time in the NFC’s Pro Bowl team.
In his entire career, he has only missed 10 games and has a total of 2,256 carries for 9,461 yards 43 touchdowns and a 4.2 average. He was released by the Falcons as per his request on March 3, 2008. He later became a minority owner of the Atlanta Falcons on December 17, 2009.
Second stint with Buccaneers
He signed a two-year, $6 million contract with the Buccaneers and returned on March 10, 2008. He had his first 100-yard game since re-joining the Buccaneers in week 6 when they played against Carolina Panthers. On February 25, 2009, he was released by the Buccaneers and he retired from the NFL with a remarkable record.
