She began her career at Fox 13 Tampa as a Multimedia journalist in June 2014. After eight months, she started working as a Traffic Anchor. As of now, Vanessa covers all the essential stories of Tampa, Florida. She was thrilled to work there as she could present the stories of her native Sunshine State while being close to her family and friends. Later, she became a reporter with WINK-TV in Fort Myers.

Again, she was involved with the military families and has said she really focused on bringing those people & their stories to life through her reports. As of 2017, she is working as a reporter for the program Good Day Tampa Bay, a role she says she chose so that she could be closer to family. Vanessa reached the height of her career when she joined the Good Day Tampa Bay.
