Pablo Alsina Biography

Pablo Alsina is an American sports announcer who works both on and off camera. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

He grew up in Miami and attended the University of Florida and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and a minor in theater. He is currently living in Los Angeles, California.

He has over 10 years of experience as a national and local sports anchor, host, reporter and also, a play by play announcer for major networks, for example, KTTV FOX 11, FOX Deportes, MundoFOX, NBC/Telemundo, and GOLTV.

His biggest goal in life is to continue being a good person and affect everyone who comes into his life positively and also anyone across all forms of media.

He is American by nationality though he is very fluent in Spanish. He was born in Venezuela to Argentine parents and moved to the USA when he was only 6 years old.

Pablo Alsina has covered so many major events including two Super Bowls, three World Series and thousands of sporting events. He was the MLB play-by-play announcer for FOX Deporters as from 2013-2015. He followed every national MLB game on FOX Deporters in those years and covered even the 2014 World Series.

He also called UFC Fights, NCAA College Football Games, and more for Fox Deporters. As from 2006-2010, he was the sports anchor and soccer play-by-play announcer for GOLTV network. He used to call soccer games in English from Spain’s La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga and Fifa World Cup Qualifiers.

Apart from sports broadcasting, he is also an actor and a member of SAG-AFTRA. He has also appeared in national commercials for Chevrolet, T-Mobile, Trident, and Jack in the Box. He appeared recently in an episode of the TV Show, General Hospital.

Sports anchor Pablo out at Channel 11

Sports anchor Pablo Alsina is no longer with KHOU (Channel 11), station president general manager Susan McEldoon said Monday.

McEldoon said she could not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding Alsina’s departure. No replacement has been named, she said, adding, “We have great anchors and reporters in Matt Musil and Daniel Gotera, and they will be filling in.”

Alsina came to Houston in August 2015 from Los Angeles, where he worked for Fox Deportes. He also has worked as a television and commercial actor.
