Lou Manfredini is an American TV and Radio Personality who was born in Highland Park, Illinois on May 4th, 1964. He is the host of HouseSmarts TV which is a Chicago’s WGN(AM) Mr. Fix it program.
He is also a contributor on NBC’s Today Show. His father worked as a truck mechanic and his mother was a homemaker. He used to work with his father on cars and trucks and this is when he got interested in home improvement. He was a welder while he was a student in Deerfield Highschool.
He attended Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois on a musical theater scholarship. He then started a construction company in 1987 in Chicago. He began his media career after 8 years in business in 1995 when WGN(AM) Radio launched his idea for a home improvement call-in radio show.
