Jessica Larche Weight Loss
There is a lot less of Jessica Larche to see, and because of that, people are seeing a lot more of her these days. Jessica dropped 100 pounds and landed on the cover of Woman’s Day magazine’s annual issue devoted to heart health.
She says she hit her peak weight of 267 pounds in 2009, shortly before she came to WTKR. Her weight fluctuated a few pounds here and there for a couple of years, but it wasn’t until 2012 that she had the epiphany that convinced her to change her diet and her lifestyle.
That moment came when went to her doctor complaining of headaches and learned that her blood pressure was 160/100. She had been telling herself that she needed to lose weight, but that blood pressure reading added a sense of urgency. In addition to making changes in her diet, she began walking. She started with a goal of at least three miles per day, at least a few days per week.
As her stamina improved and her initial back pain subsided, she began increasing that goal. This past November, she was carrying 167 pounds on her 5-foot-3 frame. She had lost 100 pounds, and her blood pressure had improved enough to go off the medication.
