Grant Wilson is an American plumber, paranormal investigator, television host, television producer, author, and game designer. He is also an Art Director & Developer for Rather Dashing Games (now a division of Kalmbach Publishing). He founded the game company with Michael Richie, and the co-founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), which is based in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Wilson is also the star and co-producer of the cable television reality series, Ghost Hunters.
Wilson’s hobbies include: writing and illustrating fantasy. He is also role-playing game characters as well as playing and composing music on various instruments including guitar and piano. Grant is an avid Star Wars fan.

Grant Wilson Jason Hawes
Grant met TAPS co-founder, Jason Hawes, after offering to redesign the website of the Rhode Island Paranormal Society (RIPS). RIPS is a support group Hawes had formed for people who had paranormal experiences. Grant finally admitted that the reason he wanted to meet Hawes was that he had undergone an intense, recurring paranormal experience since the age of 15. His recurring experience involved seeing an unidentified entity in the Rhode Island woods on a regular basis.
The duo is longtime co-workers as plumbers for Roto-Rooter. It was Hawes’ idea of bringing Wilson to the Plumbing business. They are also former co-owner of the Spalding Inn, based in Whitefield, New Hampshire. The duo and other members of the paranormal community frequently give lectures at schools and paranormal-related conventions.
Grant is also available for hire for private ghost hunting trips, and along with Hawes. He used public ghost hunting events and personal appearances to raise money for various charities which include the Cure Kids Cancer and the masonic-affiliated Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The duo also participates in ghost hunting events created specifically for the paying public. TAPS has also offered an event solely hosted by the TAPS members. The TAPS co-hosts events locations such as the Stanley Hotel in Colorado, RMS Queen Mary ocean liner in California, and the Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo, New York.
Grant Wilson Ghost Hunters
Wilson and Jason Hawes feature on the American paranormal reality television series Ghost Hunters. The duo investigates places that are reported to be haunted. The series premiered on 6 October 2004 on Syfy and ran until 26 October 2016.
Wilson announced he would be leaving the Ghost Hunters show for personal reasons on 15 February 2012. The reasons include working on his own projects. Wilson’s last appearance was the May 16th, 2012, episode of the show.
In an interview on British radio, Grant described some of the scariest cases he had to deal with on Ghost Hunters. They include being held by a whole town that practiced Black Magic. He has also discussed life after Ghost Hunters, including his band Carpetshark and also his forthcoming high-fantasy novels.
The series returned on 21 August 2019 on A&E. Grant leads new investigations with a new support team and new paranormal investigative tools.
