Elizabeth Sanchez is an American journalist. Sanchez brings her passion and curiosity to News 8. She has spent her journalism career righting wrongs and pursuing the advancement of truth. As a national correspondent for CBS News, Sanchez has appeared on CBS affiliates across the country.

She has covered politicians, natural disasters, the space shuttle Columbia crash, Furthermore the death of Michael Jackson, and other major newsworthy events. Sanchez’s experience also includes radio reporting. She was a producer and reporter for KFI-AM Los Angeles (1990-93), where she covered the L.A. riots.

As a national correspondent for CBS News, she has appeared on CBS affiliates across the country covering politicians. Furthermore natural disasters, the space shuttle Columbia crash, not to mention the death of Michael Jackson, and other major newsworthy events.

Sanchez has also worked as an anchor and investigative reporter in Charlotte, Phoenix, and San Diego. She previously hosted a national PBS parenting show about guiding young children to succeed in school and in life. Elizabeth currently works as a freelance reporter for CBS 8 in San Diego.

She also owns a television production company with her husband. She produces and appears in videos for broadcast and websites.
