She is a two-time recipient of the National Institute of Mental Health Research Service Award (2004 and 2008) and completed a three year National Institute of Mental Health-sponsored postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute Department of Psychiatry.
Judy Ho became a certified specialist through the prestigious American Board of Professional Psychology in 2011. She currently serves on the ABPP Examination Committee. In 2015 she became a board-certified specialist (CFMHE) through the National Board of Forensic Evaluators.

Dr. Judy has been the on CBS Syndicated Daytime Talk Show Face the Truth since May 2018. The show is hosted by actress Vivica A. Fox. Judy Ho co-hosts alongside Areva Martin, Rosie Mercado, and Judge Scary Mary. In the show, people present their problems to the panel who offer their opinions. Once the studio and at-home audiences have heard the whole story, they can vote on who is right and who is wrong.
Dr. Judy joined CNN in February 2012, she provides commentary on current events as it relates to mental health and human behavior on shows including CNN Tonight, CNN Newsroom, and CNN Piers Morgan.
She appeared as a recurring guest co-host on season 10 of The Doctors (2017-2018). During one of the episodes, she revealed the red flags warning signs of a dangerous eating disorder trend. The Doctors deliver a strong warning against “The Sleeping Beauty Diet,” also known as “anorexia.” The trend involves taking sleep medications in order to sleep 10 to 20 hours a day attempting to sleep away the day and not eat. Judy Ho noted that hypersomnia is linked to depression she also added that excessive sleep can also lead to dehydration.
She received her undergraduate degrees in Psychology (B. A.) and Business Administration (B. S.) from University of California, Berkeley, and completed her masters (M.
