She was born in Los Angeles California and was raised in Danville, California. She studied dancing in High School and graduated from University of California Los Angeles with a degree in Communication Studies.

She became famous as she was the host of the TV show, Trading Spaces on TLC. She has also hosted Bingo America before she became a correspondent on In the House with Peter Bart and Peter Guber. She has since been creating content for Access Hollywood’s My Style Finds.

In 2014, she founded a video production company, Zota Productions which is a firm dedicated to creating unique branded content. She is also a singer and a mother to one son. She has also appeared alongside Mike Myers and Beyonce in a comedy, Austin Powers in Goldmember, in 2002.
