Danny Romero is the weekend evening weathercaster for ABC7 Eyewitness News since joining in the station in 2005. Romero also co-hosts the half-hour show Vista L.A., as well as ABC7’s Cool Kids feature, which focuses on young people doing good deeds in the community.
Romero was hired for his first radio job in Fresno shortly after graduating from high school. In San Diego, Romero worked weeknights on B-100 FM. He then became a weekend weathercaster for Channel 8.
Two years later, he was hired to be the prime time weathercaster for KCOP in Los Angeles. After seven years and three Emmy awards, Romero was hired to do weather at KNBC.
He is involved with many helpful organizations around Southern California. Even before three bouts with cancer, he worked with the American Cancer Society, MDA, UCP, MS Society, Boys and Girls Clubs, March of Dimes, The Downtown L.A. Mission and many more.
