Weitz was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, United States. He is the son of Sybil (née Rubel), a homemaker, and Joseph Weitz, who owned a liquor store. Bruce appeared in the 1998 film Deep Impact and also played a role in the films Half Past Dead and El Cortez. Weitz’s guest appearances on television include NYPD Blue, Quincy, Midnight Caller, Sisters, Superman: The Animated Series as Bruno Mannheim, JAG, The X-Files, The West Wing, including Highlander: The Series. Weitz portrayed Anthony Zacchara on General Hospital from 2007 to 2012.
