Bill Macy whose birth name is Wolf Martin Garber is an American actor and comedian born on 18th May 1922 in Revere, Massachusetts, U.S. He is popularly known for his role as Walter Findlay, the husband of Maude Findlay. He retired from acting in 2011.

Bill Macy was an origin cast of ‘Oh! Calcutta!’, a long running theatrical revue. He was cast in Maude as Walter Findlay, the husband of Maude Findlay. The show was cancelled in 1978 and has since made more than 70 appearances on film and television, including a memorable role as the co-inventor of the ‘Opti-grab’ in the 1979 Steve Martin comedy The Jerk, and as the head television writer in Richard Benjamin’s 1982 hit My Favorite Year.

Bill also appeared occasionally on Seinfeld as one of the residents of “Del Boca Vista,” a Florida retirement community in which Jerry Seinfeld’s parents lived, as well as on the short-lived Kelsey Grammer/Patricia Heaton situation comedy ‘Back to You’.

He made a guest appearance on the television show ‘Las Vegas’ as an aging gambler. He also made a cameo appearance on ‘My Name is Earl’ in the 2nd season episode, Van Hickey in 2006 as an elderly patient in a nursing home who claims he “Once tongue-kissed a Jamaican Woman”.
