She is married to Phil Margera and they have been blessed with two sons; Bam Margera who is a skateboarder as well as Jackass star and CKY drummer, Jess Margera.

She published her book, April Cooks: There’s An Alligator In My Kitchen, back in 2006. The book was inspired by the fact that Bam had put an alligator in her kitchen as a skit for Jackass; The Movie.
