Abby Walton joined WCTV in June of 2014 as the 5:30 and 11 p.m anchor/reporter. She also anchors the FOX 49 news at 10. Prior to WCTV, Abby spent six years at WTHI, the CBS/FOX affiliates in Terre Haute, Indiana. There, she anchored the number one morning and noon show in the area. She also produced the noon show and reported it.

Being a part of the community is something Abby is very passionate about. During her time in Terre Haute, Abby was involved in many organizations, but the one near and dear to her heart is Autism Speaks. Through her reporting on autism spectrum disorder, Abby was awarded the best news series by the Associated Press of Indiana. She also received the prestigious Gracie award which is a national award given out by the Alliance for Women in Media.

When she’s not in the newsroom, Abby loves working out whether it’s Pilates, spin, or anything that challenges her. A self-described news nerd, Abby enjoys reading non-fiction books and her TIME and O magazines! She also loves T.V., movies, and music. Her guilty pleasure is reality TV on E! or Bravo. She also loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends!
